Noah

A Lesser Known Story

Remember Noah?  And the ark?  And the flood?  And the rainbow?  Did you also know about Noah and his vineyard?  And his getting intoxicated?  Yes!  You read it right!  Noah got drunk and was lying down naked when his youngest son saw him in his birthday suit.  Instead of keeping quiet and using discretion he told his brothers who discreetly covered their father up.  In this scenario it was the youngest son that was at fault for talking about his father's nakedness.

Fall is in the Air

Crispness

So it went from 90 degree weather to 60 degree weather in a matter of a week.  Why is it that I never get to experience Spring and Fall?  Like that nice mid-70's with no humidity...  I can wish can't I?

Lately everything seems swing back and forth.  You can't tell anymore what or who to believe.  And everyone you ask has a different opinion.  Who's to say what is truth and what is not?  Could our world get anymore chaotic?  I have a friend that watches two opposing news broadcasts because somewhere in the middle there lies truth.  Or you hope it does.  Life as we know it...  Do we know it?

Guess what?

I'm a Bitmoji

Yes!  I finally created a cartoon image of myself through Bitmoji.  I've been meaning to animate myself for quite a while now but could not figure out how to but then I ran into a librarian that had the cutest Bitmoji cartoons of herself in the Olympics.  I told her I had to have one and so she showed me how.  Librarians are a great source of information and learning.

Rich Man

Poor Man

Ever hear the story about LazarusLazarus was a very poor man that went to heaven.  A rich man during the same time frame went to hell.  Ironically having money in this world in your lifetime doesn't guarantee you a spot in heaven.  More likely it will guarantee you a spot in hell because the love of money is the root of all evil.  Don't value money more than people.  You will live to regret it someday.

September Leaves

Are Falling Down

Is it actually that time again?  Time for the pools to close?  Time for the leaves to fall?  Time to go back to school?  Time to change out the clothes?  Time to think about Thanksgiving and Christmas yet again?  Where does the time go?  Autumn leaves are falling down...

The Insanity Abyss

Will you or won't you?

Have you ever watched the movie What Dreams May Come?  The movie is about a couple that loses their children in a car accident and how they learn to cope or not cope.  Eventually the mother commits suicide and the father has to make the decision to join her in her insanity or let her go.

Think about it...  There are people in our lives that we feel are living in insanity.  After all, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result.  Sometimes we will join someone we care about in their insanity or just let them go because we can't stand seeing them that way.

I believe in genuine relationships but some people live in a world that they can live in whether it be real or not.  Some people want to live in reality and some do not.  Remember The Matrix?  Will you or won't you?  Blue pill...  Red pill...  And as we all know truth is stranger than fiction...

Groupthink

Or the Lack Thereof...

Birds of a feather flock together.  That being the case, is it any wonder that you have the same reaction to a number of people that hang out together?  It's interesting to note how different groups adhere to each other.  I've been part of a group that was very easygoing and social but there in your time of need.  I've also been a part of a group that has had a lot of drama and petty behaviors throughout.  If different people bring out the different aspects of our personality then doesn't it make sense that a group would also do the same thing?  Different groups bring out different things in each of us.  Some group experiences are positive and some are not.  Makes you wonder...

Finding Yourself

Not in Paris but in San Francisco

If you have ever watched the movie Sabrina then you know that Paris is where you go to find yourself.  You spend your days taking long walks and sitting in cafes while writing in a journal.  However you can also find yourself walking along the piers of San Francisco.

Do you truly know yourself?  Some people spend their whole lives not knowing who they are.  They become what other people want them to be or they absorb another person's persona.  It's the same with finding your soulmate.  You can't find the person you are meant to be with until you truly know yourself.  Otherwise you will come up with a false positive.  So many people are searching for someone they think they want only to realize that maybe they didn't find the right person after all.  However the most important question of all?  Are you right for the person you want?  Not always...  Are you going to keep a person against their will because of your selfishness?  True love is letting go...  True love is mutual...  If it's not mutual it's not real...  Selfish love is making someone miserable because you think they need to be with you when they don't.
