The Person Who Dies...

With the Most Money...

Doesn't win!  Did you know that?  Remember how I keep telling you that time is more valuable than money?  Think about it...  Someone has to pay you a lot of money for you to do something you hate but not so much if you do something you love.  However if you get to the point that you can make money doing what you love then...  you are definitely on the right path.  I truly feel that the person who truly wins is the person who can still live a very fulfilling life on the least amount of money...  Because if you die then you don't get to take your money with you and someone else is going to likely spend all your hard earned dollars.  And do you really want that?

Frolicking While at Play

Deer Chasing Each Other

I was parking my car yesterday and I saw two deer chasing each other around the perimeter of the parking lot.  I tried my best to get a good photo but think they were to quick to capture.  Talk about fleeting images.  Sometimes you just have to be ready to point and shoot.  Lately I keep seeing nature out of habitat.

R & R

I Wish...

My life is too hectic to get to rest too much but I have my moments where I get some peace and quiet.  Some of the best ways to relax are simplicity at its best:  Like watching a sunset, soaking in nature, or curling up with a really great book.  Why not take a deep breath and just breathe...

Koala Bears

The Warm and Fuzzy Kind

A friend of mine recently told me about her daughter's craft business.  I thought it was really cute to have these just hanging around.  As you can tell, they are door hangings as well as wall hangings.  Something to think about for a gift idea.  I especially like her logo.  So cute!

Be Still

"And Know that I am God..."

I recently had a moment in time in fields where there was a sunset, plants swaying in the breeze, and no talking.  Only thoughts drifting in and out of my mind.  I thought about the beauty surrounding me in nature.  And the slowing down of that passage in time.  And I felt God afterwards saying, "Be Still."

Courageous

Movie Night

I have seen this movie before but it always leaves a lasting impression on me.  This movie signifies courage, being a father, and making a difference.  Sometimes learning these lessons does not come easily and sometimes something very drastic has to happen before change begins.  So have courage...  to do the right thing!

Driving Around Town...

There are times I feel like I'm living in a forest preserve!

Why?  Because I pass so many deer and bunnies, even a fox here and there.  I've even passed chickens and a peacock on the road.  And I don't even live in rural America.  Far from it.

I heard about the alligator incident.  How awful!  So many things happen that take us unawares.  How do you find peace in this world?

What Do I Want to Be???

When I Grow Up!

For some people this question takes a long time to figure out.  I think I have waited over half my life just to finally figure it out.  For one thing I like helping people so I definitely want to do something philanthropical however I also really enjoy being creative.

Sometimes you are living your life thinking of what you want to do and where you want to go and "Eureka!"  You have finally figured it out.  How about you?  What do you want to be when you grow up?

In the Buff

What Exactly is Camera Raw?

Camera Raw is a great way to edit photographs.  It's fairly easy to learn and does a great job with photos.  I took a class based on photography by Scott Kelby and learned a lot about this technique as well as Photoshop.

Me Before You

You Before Me

Imagine someone larger than life who because of a split second in time is forever paralyzed from the neck down.  If it happened to you, how would you react?

In this movie, the main character could not live this way so chose another way out.  However if you have ever heard of Joni Eareckson Tada and Christopher Reeves then you know that you can choose life over death and still live a meaningful life after such a tragedy.

Dog Days of Summer...

Are starting up again!

Boy!  Is it ever getting hot!  Let's hope that it doesn't rain too much this year.  Not like last summer which was practically a monsoon.  Speaking of monsoons, make sure to watch The Impossible.  You will feel like you are in the movie it is that graphic and it will definitely make you count your blessings!  Happy June!
