Walking in Lies?

Walk in Truth

Do you sometimes wonder why some people choose not to see the truth?  And choose to live in a lie?  Today we live in a world where there are lies all around us.  It is hard to sift out the truth, isn't it?  In fact, I read an article on the internet that actually said that a valuable skill that you should have is knowing how to lie well.  What does that say about the values of the world?  Would you rather live in the truth or a lie?

A friend and I went to the zoo recently and decided to call this the Pinocchio fish?  Can you see why?

Great Expectations

Judging People by Their Success

Unless you walk in someone else's shoes you will never know what it took for them to get to that point.  Some millionaires were dirt poor or bankrupt before they made it big.  So don't judge a success by it's cover until you know the entire story.  I was listening to the radio recently about judging a person by their success and how unwelcome feelings of "anger, jealousy, greed, and hate" can sometimes make an appearance.  How will God bless you if you don't bless others?

Truth Telling

Do you or don't you?

The truth hurts and the truth is not easy to hear.  People who work in the medical field have to determine if a patient should be told the whole truth, a partial truth, or decision delay.  Over the course of my life I have met people that would rather not know the truth because they want to live in their reality but it is not real.  On the other hand I have also met many people that embrace the truth simply because it is true.  Would you rather live your life living a lie or live in the truth?  It's all up to you.  No one else can make you live your life the way you live except you unless you are living in an exception which some are:  People in bondage, slavery, extortion...  Ironically enough you do get into more trouble telling the truth than lying.  What a crazy world we live in.

Busy Moments

Quiet Time

Do you ever feel the need for solitude?  To just get away and go somewhere else?  Life is full of choices.  Every day we make choices that affect our lives.  Each and every decision we make causes a chain reaction in the rest of our lives.  Sometimes we have the opportunity to go back and right an old wrong.  And sometimes we just move forward.  Do you look towards an open door or a closed one?

Prayer

Changes Things

Many times in life we need prayer.  We ask for prayer.  We seek prayer.  We pray.  We ask.  We seek.  We knock.  It seems the more we pray the more we see things unfold.  I've had more than one friend mention about keeping a prayer journal because you will see your prayer requests and God's answers to prayers.  There is tremendous power in prayer if you have the faith to unleash it.

Paying It Forward

A Way of Life

Ever have someone do something unexpected and kind for you?  Well it happened to me and then I shared what he paid for with a couple of friends today so THANK YOU kind stranger.  Recently a random act of kindness sparked a chain reaction at a McDonald's.  I have been paying it forward as well.  Sometimes you happen on a situation where only you can help.
