Shaking My Head

A boy got shot because he wore a hedgehog outfit with a chocolate bomb.  Why would he do that?  Also a man got arrested because he was long overdue on returning a vhs tape back to the library.  This also happened to a woman.  I don't know about you but I think I will make sure to return all videos.  Thanks goodness I already do!  Whew!  Well let's say Good-bye to April!

If you're looking for someone to love and for someone to love you then make sure that that person is darling to you.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks unless you are the type of person that really had poor people judgement.  Know what I mean?  I think you do.

Remember Cinderella?  Cinderella wanted to go to the ball but her stepsisters and her stepmother did not want her to go.  However Cinderella did go and then abruptly left leaving behind one glass slipper.  The Prince did not know why Cinderella left the way she did but kept the one glass slipper.  Cinderella was the only one that could really fit that slipper but the stepsisters were so drastic as to cut off their feet to make the glass slipper fit.

The moral of the story is find the right fit for you.  Don't go trying to fit your foot into a glass slipper that doesn't fit.  Because when you find the shoe that really fits, it's because it was meant to.

The Good Guy

VS The Bad Guy

What happens when the good guy gets the bad guy in a vulnerable position?  The good guy lets him go.  But if it was the other way around?  Not so.  The bad guy would destroy the good guy.  Wouldn't he?  Would you rather be the good guy or the bad guy?  Sometimes the good guy is too trusting and gets destroyed.  However it boils down to a matter of principle.  The good guy can only tell the truth while the bad guy does all he can to destroy the credibility of the good guy.

So we are living in a day and age where sometimes you don't know right from wrong any longer.  Everything that was once illegal no longer is and vice versa.  Get my drift?

So what happens when you lose your job because of dirty politics, workers compensation, or age discrimination, etc.  You do what you have to do and you go find another job.  However easier said than done if your company makes you out to be something you're not.

If you feel that you have been wrongfully terminated then you do have options:

You can file for unemployment,
You can file with the EEOC,
You can tell your story to a number of government agencies,
You can tell your story to a number of lawyers,
You can sue your previous employer,
You can write a book,
or You can let it go.

You could also do all of the above or none of the above.  So we will be doing some more exploration on these topics in the upcoming weeks.  Above all if you are working in a toxic environment then that may be a warning to leave especially if you suspect that ethics are null and void.

So depending on your perspective this can either be a good thing or a bad thing.  Think about it...  If you hate your job and your work environment then this will probably be the best news you ever hear, however if you love your job then...  So sad!

You can never move ahead in life if you keep looking back though.  Remember Lot's wife?  She looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.

I heard about this principle through friends who also recommended that I watch Office Space.  The Peter Principle is promoting someone to the highest level of incompetence.

Years ago I was in a training class with a team from another department.  The team members told me how they had hired in this one guy who was not that great of a worker and didn't get along with others so management decided to promote him up to get him out of there.

Go figure!  Right?

In this world of chaos that we live in, where everything happens at lightning speed, don't you sometimes crave peace?  Recently I've been reading a chapter on peace in a book written by Bill Hybels.  Peace is an interesting concept.  We crave it and yet some people would rather go to war then be at peace.  Some religions advocate war and others advocate peace.  Why do you suppose that is?  See if you can schedule some peace into your schedule today.

Are Here Again!

Unfortunately!  Never let it be said that April isn't prompt.  April is always prompt when it comes to rain and high winds.  Is it any wonder everyone is coughing and hacking away.  This is when it's always a good thing to pray for encouragement.  I pray for encouragement every so often and am always surprised by what happens.  Either I get an email or a text from a good friend.  Or something good happens or I read just happen to the right text.

Don't you just love the weather when you think Spring has arrived only to get slapped in the face with snow?  And strong  winds?  And that's the way life goes!  Just when you think you are on an even plain, you end up on a roller coaster ride.  Unfortunately this sort of weather is just ripe for colds, coughs, and flu!  Ahchoo!

When you live a busy life then movies let you focus on something else for a couple of hours so that you can tackle your life again.  There are some good ones coming out! 

Remember when you were a kid and you only thought from moment to moment?  And summers lasted forever?  Those were the days!  I would love to be a kid again!  

April Fool's

Chaos

The oddest thing happened on the way to work.  I saw cars driving up the off ramp of all things!  And then traffic was at a standstill.  Guess why?  Accident!  More then a few cars!  On the one hand you think that this has to be the most irritating way to begin a day; but then again once you drive past the accident site, you think that could have been me...  Sometimes in life you have to look at the bright side of things and put things in perspective.
