Poor monks!  What are they going to do?  They can't chant...  I mean aren't we all wearing masks already?  And washing out hands?  And wearing personal protective equipment?  Why is this happening?  Do the people in California have something against singing?  What happened to singing in the rain?  Are we getting a little too tad ridiculous?
