Don't You Think?

Don't regret your life!  Time is very valuable!  Sometimes life throws you into a situation that you think won't turn out well but turns out to be the very best thing that's ever happened to you. 

Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.  I know how hard it is because looking back if I was back where I had been I think I would cry.  I seriously believe that if I was still working where I had been working for years I would have ended up with cancer or something equally bad.  Some things in life are not actually worth the money that you get paid.  You can get paid less but enjoy life more and not be so stressed out. 

You can seek employment that is flexible or that more fits who you are.  You can start your own business and be your own boss.  Some people are fortunate that they get paid to do what they love but not everyone has that.  Life is what you make it but you need to take the first step or you might get booted where the decision is not yours. 

I stayed too long at a job that I know was not for me.  I dreaded going into work every day that I had to.  Now my life looks very different but in a very good way.  I wish I had done this years ago but too many people out there are in the mindset that life has to look a certain way and you buy into it but really you don't.  Live outside the box!  I think it is worth it!

What's True?

Can you even tell anymore?  What's wrong is right and what's right is wrong...  So many things that used to be illegal are now legal...  And the things that used to be legal no longer are.  Where is our world going?  The past decade has seen a lot of changes that I think are not for the good.  Can we change back?  Remember when we could fly without all the security hassles?  Before terrorism affected our nation?  Do you know?  Do you care?  You can live life interactively.  Walk through the open door...  And find out what is on the other side.  Maybe it is not too late for positive change...

Are You Perfect?

Are you?  I know I'm not.  If you were to take a slice of my life at different moments then sometimes you would see me doing good but I might also be doing something stupid.  I might be sad, happy, mad, glad, etc.  I mean think about it...  No one is perfect...  No one...  How can you judge someone on one sentence?  And the things we did and said when we were younger?  How would you feel if people didn't give you the opportunity for change?  If they judged you on one action you did long ago.  We all have done stupid stuff and said stupid stuff.  We err because we are human.  Not a robot...  Not perfect...

Oh Deer!

Ironically I ran across a couple of deer at the post office one night recently.  They stopped and watched me and then ran across the street.  More and more it's becoming so common seeing deer walking around.  I see them when going to the gym and just driving around.  And you hear of them snacking on tulips all the time.  

That reminds me of an incident that happened years ago.  A friend and I were driving to the beach or somewhere like that and we passed some deer.  We got excited and started pointing at the deer.  Coincidentally a guy was driving past us just as we were exclaiming over the deer.  He drove past us again because he thought we were pointing at him.  We just looked at each other and started laughing.  Sorry but it was really just too funny.  Sometimes life is like that.

Do Something...

Wouldn't you like to work at a job that people elected you for and get more days off than days working?  Are you on vacation?  What are you doing?  Are you doing anything?  We elected you for a reason.  Don't forget it!  Do something!  With great power comes great responsibility...  Do something!  Make a positive change!  Do something!  Or otherwise resign...  or get fired...

I was watching a videotape of Beth Moore this morning at a local church and I have to admit that what she spoke about really resonated with me.  It got me to thinking because poor decisions in who you choose to hang out with can make or break you. 

Likewise she made a good point regarding the fine line between being adored and abhorred.  We all walk that fine line especially in our online environment:  Too much, too fast..  It's the difference between infatuation and true love.

A Viable Plan?

For healthcare that is...  I was watching a movie with friends and after the movie we got to discussing the healthcare plan that was so generously created for the American people by you know who we thought...  As it turns out there is something hidden within this legislation that gives royalties to guess who according to someone I was talking to.  If a plan has your name on it then it also makes you the recipient of the money paid into it...  Hmmm...  but wouldn't that be deceitful?  Do tell...

How much do you really like your nose?  Is your nose growing longer and longer by the minute?  Do you remember the story of Pinocchio and his penchant for lying?  And the boy who cried wolf?  What happens to whistle blowers?  Their credibility is ruined by the corporations they worked for because as a lawyer once told me, you will get in more trouble telling the truth than telling a lie.  Now why do you think that is?

Exactly what would that look like and exactly how many people would even venture out of doors?  Possibly nudists just because and celebrities being that there are a lot that walk around the big screen in their birthday suit already...  Hmmm...  Personally I think most people would rather wear clothes...  What do you think?

Have you ever been told that someone really likes you and you know you're not interested but because they are you just go out with them anyway?  I think everyone at some time in their life has done it.  But I think most agree that it really doesn't make a lot of sense to do it.  I mean in this day and age we commit to only meeting for drinks or coffee if you meet someone online.  Ironically in speed dating it only takes five minutes for you to decide if you want to spend time with that person and if you have a connection.  Listen to your gut instinct.

Is it really the best policy?

Sometimes I wonder...  I remember a boss telling me years ago that I was too blunt with people.  That when I would tell people things to their face they would get upset.  Well, it's funny how telling the truth actually gets you in a lot of trouble.  Why do you think that is?  However when push comes to shove would you rather be with someone who is upfront with you as opposed to someone that will lie to you?
