Miracles From Heaven
Movie Night
What better way than to spend a cold winter's night in a movie theater with friends? I was recently invited to attend a prescreening of this movie which is based on a true story. Miracles From Heaven is the heartfelt story of a young girl who gets cured of an incurable disorder. Sometimes you just need to see the miracles that happen around you everyday to realize that there is more to life than what happens on this earth.
Watching this move made me think of something that a friend of mine had told me about once upon a time. She had a friend that had had scoliosis and got hit by a truck. After being hit by the truck, while riding his bicycle, he was cured of his scoliosis. Miracles happen! You just have to realize that they are!

The Final Season
Is Upon Us!
Well I have to admit that I'm pretty bummed that Downton Abbey is in its final season. I was watching it tonight and thought there's only so many episodes left. Who knew this show would take the world by storm? I, and many others, have been watching it and gotten hooked by it. It is by far one of the most addictive shows that PBS has offered to us. In fact, it has spurred tea parties all over this area. Tea parties that let you dress up in hats and gloves, munch on cucumber sandwiches, and watch Downton Abbey all over again.
What will we do once this season is over? Hmmm...

Being Kind
By Paying It Forward
Today a friend, her kids and I delivered cookies to a runaway shelter; which I have to admit took some time finding. Remember how I told you that I had a terrible sense of direction? Well it reared its ugly head again but my friend also had a hard time finding it and the people we asked for directions kept pointing us in the wrong direction so it wasn't just me this time. Don't give up on me yet!
At any rate we did finally deliver the cookies that we made this past weekend with friends at a local church. We made dozens of cookies in all different varieties. We also made hot chocolate and cider. What better way to spend a Saturday morning? You know what they say, people who cook together, stick together... Actually I just made that up but when you make cookies you do get somewhat sticky. Know what I mean? Yum!
